"When I was approached about the possibility of getting involved with a new D1 facility in Huntsville, I jumped at the chance. I am from the Huntsville area and it means a lot to me to be part of a sports facility that will greatly benefit athletes in northern Alabama. Not all young athletes have the luxury of having a coach at home. I have seen first hand how D1 benefits athletes by making them faster, stronger and more agile – all this without losing sight of the importance of building character and developing good young men and women. D1 Huntsville will be a place for athletes to go and get better at their sport, while providing the structure and character building tools that will benefit them as adults.
